Quick guide

Cedra

Cedra helps you generate realistic mock data, fake payloads, and UI-ready test content locally, without sending source text, schemas, or generated values to an online tool.

  1. Open Cedra from the menu bar

    Click the Cedra icon in the menu bar to open the app, open the Quick Inject palette, or generate a value from the Quick Generate submenu.

  2. Generate a single value

    Search for a provider such as email, full name, company, UUID, phone, city, country, date, price, or boolean. Copy the value, or inject it into the focused app when Accessibility permission is enabled.

  3. Quick-generate for the clipboard

    Choose a provider from Quick Generate to place a fresh mock value on the clipboard. This is the fastest path when you only need one value to paste.

  4. Build a repeatable batch

    Open Batch Studio, paste a JSON sample or plain text source, and review the field mappings. Set a deterministic seed, mark fields unique or nullable, then generate JSON or CSV output and check the contract validation summary.

  5. Unlock advanced batch workflows

    Pro

    With a license, Cedra adds larger batches, JSON Schema, SQL CREATE TABLE, TypeScript-like parsing, manual field controls, saved dataset recipes, custom providers, SQL output, and TypeScript output.

Good to know

  • Cedra is local-first: generation, source parsing, custom providers, and clipboard output stay on your Mac.
  • Direct injection requires macOS Accessibility permission; copy-to-clipboard works without it.
